Afrifanom Limited in collaboration with the Ghana Police Service has launched a state-of-the-art virtual medical center solution called the Dunseni App to enable a simple, smart and trusted way for professional medical practitioners to provide data-driven virtual healthcare consultations with police officers and their dependents. This initiative falls inline with Afrifanom Limited corporate social invest arm of the business.

The name Dunseni pronounced Doon-si-ni is an Akan word which means healer, is a digital solution to make healthcare faster and get a quick and hassle-free appointment for police offers and their dependents without waiting long hours in a queue at various health facilities.

The Chairman of Afrifanom Group - Nana Osei Afrifa noted his excitement at the collaboration and commitment with the top hierarchy of the Ghana Police Service to design a fast, effective and 100% secure end-to-end encryption platform for the delivery of healthcare to officers in the police service.

He continued, “As an IT and Software company, we observe the enormous benefits that Telemedicine can create in the health delivery chain. In a world where the covid-19 pandemic has become our new normal, using digital means to deliver and access health care has become more important than ever. This virtual medical centre will aid the transition from paper-based to electronic health records and allow for richer and a more data-dependent ways of accessing health care anywhere, anytime. The Inspector General of Police, Dr. George Akuffo Dampare in his comments on the App and its benefits to the police service said, “We are very happy with the work done by the team at Afrifanom Group. This solution will help our personnel and dependents have easy access to healthcare irrespective of their location across the country. We believe this is going to be a game-changer in the health delivery of police personnel and their dependents.”

The rollout of phase one is expected to feature only police officers to have access to the platform with the second and third phases including the spouses of police officers and all dependents of police officers respectively, who are medically qualified to access free health care.

The Dunseni Mobile App is available on both Android PlayStore and iOS AppStore for police personnel to download and enjoy the Virtual medical Service.
